Salary range: $93,000 - $135,000

The Director, Physician Relations recruitment will manage the staff, leading acquisition of physicians and advanced practice practitioners throughout the Faculty Practice. This office is integral to the Provider Recruitment, Retention and Liaison efforts for Physician and Provider Candidates and New Hire Providers. The Director, Physician Relations is responsible for activities of the Practice Physician Recruitment office including onboarding, retention, but not limited to, contacting potential physician candidates, setting up physician interviews, and working in a innovative environment creating and implementing successful talent acquisition strategies collaborating with Physician Practice Leadership.

The Director, Physician Relations will also ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures including external regulations that are needed. He/she will manage the recruitment staff, budget, day to day accountabilities as well as inform and involve leadership when needed. The role will provide vision, strategic leadership, and practical experience to talent delivery infrastructure.

The Director, Physician Relations will also be responsible for helping to oversee processes involving referrals to physician specialists and clinical testing within the Physician Practice. This will include interacting with staff within the Physician Practice and staff across Albany Medical Center Health System to utilize current systems and assist with the development of new systems to maximize efficiencies for patients to utilize various physician services and ancillary tests within the Practice and Health System.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree - required

  • Master's Degree - preferred

  • 10+ years in management role in a healthcare setting - required

  • Physician recruitment, including sourcing, candidate relationship management, behavioral interviewing, and successful offer negotiation - preferred

  • High volume work environment experience - preferred

  • Strong leadership track record that involves supervision and management of staff

  • Knowledge of physician practice operations and standard practices

  • Proven track record of developing/managing a network of physician candidates
