Aston Carter Staff Accountant in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Description:

The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.

Prepares monthly financial reports.

Maintains the integrity of the general ledger.

Accurately invoices customers.

Reconciles bank accounts and monitors cash balances.

Reviews accounts payable processing.

Analyzes job costing records for accuracy and comparison to budget.

Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual review and tax returns.

Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.

Retains knowledge of sales tax guidelines and non-taxable certificate files.

Keeps certificate of insurance records up to date.

Reviews payroll processing and reporting. Performs benefit audits.

Bachelors in A&F required
