Trinity Health Clinical Dietitian Lead in Berwyn, Illinois

Description:

The Clinical Lead will assess nutrition status, and develop/implement all aspects of nutrition care to

assure appropriate nutrition intervention and adherence to regulatory standards (IDPH, JCAHO, etc.).

This position monitors and evaluates nutrition interventions, makes adjustments to plans, as needed,

and reports results of quality outcomes. This position also educates patients, care givers and other

health care providers on the effect of therapeutic diets and nutritional support to maintain/improve

nutritional status. This position takes on a supervisory role in overseeing staff in their designated area

of responsibility.

  • Function in a supervisory role as a team leader in addition to performing all duties and responsibilities of a Level II dietitian, including patient care in area of responsibility.

  • Design, implement and modify evidence-based nutrition education materials.

  • Supervise daily work of diet technicians in area of responsibility.

  • Attend and participate in interdisciplinary teams and committees.

  • Provide leadership on nutrition issues within and outside the profession through initiatives such as presentations or publications for the organization and/or community.

  • Responsible for daily operations schedule of staff in area of responsibility (Clinical manager or Director has final approval.

  • Coordinate schedule for dietetic interns.
