Primary Location: 4045 Hempstead Trnpke 2nd FL Bethpage, NY 11714

Hours: Part-Time, up to 20 hours per week. Monday 8:30am – 7pm & Wednesday 8:30am – 4:30pm with additional coverage opportunities

Specialty: Allergy and Immunology

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides professional nursing care to patients/significant others via direct and/or telephone contact, following established standards and practices

  • Coordinates with other members of the care team to ensure seamless care delivery, maximal coordination of efforts, and active patient participation in planning and care

  • Assists physician or other provider with clinical procedures, performs telephone triage as needed, participates in patient teaching, and troubleshoot medication refill questions/issues

  • Administers Allergy shots and review the shot charts for the day and the next day

  • Conducts monthly allergy shot reminder calls to overdue patients

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

  • Registered nurse licensed to practice in New York State (NYS) and in good standing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.)

  • Current BLS certification

  • 1+ years of experience as a registered nurse or 2+ years as a licensed practical nurse

New York Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $28.03 to $54.95 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
