LittleStar ABA Therapy works with children, teens, and young adults affected by autism.  We are a non-profit organization, and we were the first ABA Center in the state of Indiana.  We have been improving the lives of individuals with autism for over 20 years!

Summary 

The Psychologist - HSPP conducts diagnostic testing for suspected neurodevelopmental disorders. Availability for either full or part-time! Remote work is available to full-time positions.  We have dedicated testing sites in Bloomington and Carmel with professional office staff.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations for children ages 2-18 with suspected autism utilizing the ADOS-2 and other relevant assessments and rating scales as needed (i.e., MIGDAS-2, BASC-3, SRS-2, Vineland-3).

  • Analyze and interpret data and write evaluation reports.

  • Share results of diagnostic evaluations with family members via feedback meetings.

  • Draft thorough diagnostic reports which include all identified symptoms and impairment areas related to a confirmed diagnosis.

  • Work closely with the Diagnostic Clinic Coordinator to ensure high levels of customer service regarding all areas of the evaluation and follow-up meetings.

  • Stay abreast of best practices for conducting autism evaluations and ensure that these practices are implemented within the clinic.

  • Other psychological service administration, such as group/family therapy or support groups may also be required as assigned by the Vice President of Psychological Services.

    Educational Qualifications and Skills

  • Doctoral degree and licensed in the state of Indiana as a Psychologist

  • Endorsed as a Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP), by the Indiana State Board of Examiners in Psychology

  • Previous experience with assessment/treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders is required

  • Must demonstrate clinical competencies essential to job performance

  • Technology competent

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written, with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels

  • Must be detail oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and be flexible

  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on timeliness and accuracy

    Condition of Employment:

  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal history check.

  • During high rates of COVID transmission, may be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as provided by LittleStar, where physical distance cannot be attained

    Work Environment

    Position operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office and audiovisual equipment.  Eligible for up to 40% remote.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand; walk, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

    Travel

    Travel to Bloomington, IN will be expected twice a week. Travel to training events or conferences, as needed. Travel time and mileage can be expensed.
