Mountain Lakes Medical Center in Clayton, GA, is hiring a FT RRT! Job Types: Full-time, PRN Shift: 7p-7a

Under general supervision, administers respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities. Trains and acts as a resource for other respiratory department staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish priorities to organize work and utilize time effectively
• Assesses patients and recommends respiratory therapy treatments
• Plans, prepares and administers respiratory therapy treatments, aerosol, chest physical therapy, incentive spirometry, and sputum inductions, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Performs diagnostic pulmonary and cardiac test and records patient treatment, response, and progress.
• Inspects, tests, maintains and operates respiratory therapy equipment.
• Responds to code blue calls and assists by maintaining the patient's airway and performing CPR.
• Attend mandatory meetings
• Attend appropriate in-service education
• Comply what the attendance and punctuality policy
• Maintain courtesy at all times to patients, families, and visitors.
• Complies with all safety rules applying to gas cylinders, ventilators, and all electrical equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

• Completion of an A.S. program from a nationally accredited respiratory therapy school
• Must be NBRC Registered
• BLS/CPR certified

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum one year experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist is preferred; NEW Grads Welcome!
• State licensure required for worksite state
• The ability to meet National Board of Respiratory Care requirements
