Senior Finance Specialist, Financial Planning & Analysis

Reporting to the Site Finance Lead, you will work with the Finance team and Operational areas to support the analysis and development of the financial information required to successfully support the company’s endeavors. You will work with people at all levels of the organization to develop, report, monitor and manage key financial and non-financial performance indicators.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monthly closing and reporting including the provision of accurate, timely and reliable financial information.

  • Management of site spend in partnership with site leadership focusing on headcount, operating expense budgets, forecasting and spending targets.

  • Develop & embed the finance performance metrics within the business and be accountable for analysis & commentary.

  • Support manufacturing and inventory accounting including variance analysis.

  • Support, analyze and assist in the preparation and review of the company’s annual operating budget in order to achieve corporate deadlines and ensure divisional targets are met.

  • Promote and maintain focus on site cost saving initiatives.

  • Drive continuous process optimization, standardization and stability, particularly as new facilities are placed into service and existing assets are transitioned/decommissioned.

  • Support the delivery of key business projects through financial modeling and analysis

  • Develop, implement and monitor internal financial controls and procedures of the company and assist in both internal and external audits including SOX compliance.

  • Actively contribute as a member of the manufacturing division Finance Team on cross-site finance process and system improvement projects, manufacturing productivity and staff training and development.

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • BS/BA or higher in Accounting Finance, or relevant related field of study; MBA and /or CPA or equivalent preferred

Required Experience and Skills:

  • A qualified FP&A or accounting professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in a pharmaceutical or similar industry.

  • Understanding of planning, budget and forecasting processes.

  • Understanding of inventory accounting and manufacturing variances.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of SAP or similar required.

  • Knowledge of BPC or similar required.

  • Knowledge of Power BI or similar required.

  • Proactive and innovative.

  • Ability to respond to changing priorities.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work to tight deadlines.
