HCR Home Care Physician Liaison - Certified Home Care Agency - Fulltime in East Syracuse, New York

The primary goal of the Physician Liaison is to provide a point of contact in the community to nurture and manage relationships with local healthcare professsionals who may refer or have patients receiving HCR Home Care services. The Physician Liaison is the direct link between the clinical professionals in the region and the operations of HCR Home Care, and as such, is responsible for generating patient volume within an assigned territory and for maintaining exceptional customer service to all of our referring professionals.

Essential Functions

  • Accountable for developing and implementing strategic initiatives with clinical professionals and delivering patient referral business from the medical community.

  • Responsible for appropriate messaging and positioning of HCR Home Care services to each prospective referral group, including delivering informal and formal presentations with content-appropriate materials. 

  • Responsible for external relationship development with medical professionals, to position HCR Home Care as the premier comprehensive home care agency. 

  • Outreach functions include representing HCR at conferences, as well as planning and participating in CME and non-CME educational opportunities. 

  • Regularly collaborate with clinical staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

    Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant sales/marketing experience; including 2 to 3 years of experience working with physicians and medical professionals and/or clinical experience preferred.

  • Proven track record of successful sales performance, relationship building and growing relationships.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Excels at providing customized customer service and being highly responsive to the needs of our clinical referral sources.

  • Proven ability to drive results and use data to manage performance.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and team building capability.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/relationships at once.

  • Highly self-motivated and works well independently but is also a strong team player.

    Work Environment

    The Physician Liaison is primarily in an office setting and may be exposed to outdoor conditions.

    The working conditions are classified as sedentary work:

  • Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
