Radio Frequency Solutions (RFS) - a mission area within Advanced Products and Solutions (APS) - is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the F/A-18 Navy Development Finance team for an exciting opportunity in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A).

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for a critical strategic CPFF Development program’s financial planning. You will also be responsible for all various financial planning efforts such as formal monthly forecasting support, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Balance Sheet analysis, Cash Flow analysis, Strategic 5-year Long Range Planning (LRP), Short Range Outlook (SRO) support, as well as supporting other ad-hoc analyses and management reviews.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Major responsibilities include monthly forecasting, annual operating plan (AOP), Long Range Planning, balance sheet/unbilled cash reviews, month-end close responsibilities, and weekly Business Reviews.

  • Duties include analyzing, tracking, and reporting financial performance as it relates to the four main business metrics (Bookings, Sales, Profit, and Cash).

  • The candidate will be responsible for preparing various analyses to ensure accurate reporting and early warning of issues.

  • This position will also be responsible for continuing to identify ways to improve processes and further levels of efficiency.

  • Additionally, this role will have frequent exposure to senior key team members and regular opportunities to provide valuable insight to help influence management decision-making.

  • Provide financial analysis for all Navy Development programs

  • Working with other analysts to prepare financial reporting, completing analysis, coordinating internal reviews, etc

  • Supporting multiple levels of reviews, including weekly financial meeting including SRO, Gap, Forecast, Actuals tracking

  • Prepare charts and present financial data to management on a minimum of a monthly basis

  • Monitoring program expenditures, work performance, and comparing to forecast for accuracy and alignment

  • Support the AOP and LRP processes, ensuring adherence to RFS and APS timelines and coordinating with the program teams for inputs and agreement

  • Support risk and opportunities management for financial impact in SRO as well as pre-forecast management and coordination

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Experience in communicating financial concepts, trends and variances to management.

  • Experience with personal computer skills including a high level of proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

  • Experience with modeling, creating formulas, and complex data mining using MS Office Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with RPlan, SAP APEX, BW and BPS

  • Excellent critical thinking abilities.

  • Understanding and application of finance principles, concepts, practices, and standard knowledge of industry practices.

  • Proactive, creative and innovative in solving problems and issues.

  • Ability to plan and manage daily tasks, meet deadlines, analyze, provide results and recommend solutions to various levels of organization.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).

  • Shows initiative by seeking ways to improve processes and data analysis

  • Ability to Work under minimal supervision. Participates in determining goals of assignment plans, schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing targets after training period

  • Ability to quickly master Business Systems

    Additional Information:

  • This position is grade P2, Senior Financial Analyst.

  • Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
