Job Description
This position will provide solutions for geothermal water source heat pump (WSHP). The selected candidate will work both with Development and Sustaining teams to develop and troubleshooting designs for WSHP systems based upon laboratory safety standards, building codes, and current market demands.
Design, development of refrigeration cycles & testing of HVAC units
Electrical Wiring Diagrams development
Electrical components selection and evaluation
Design, analysis, and qualification testing
UL & AHRI Regulatory (AHRI, UL, ETL)
Establish validation, specifications, performance validation/test plans and reliability testing
Able to understands the regulations and transfer the understanding to preventive actions or to validation programs
Product design and development based on customer requirements and current or future regulations
Test prototypes, write development test reports and document results according to company rules
Oversee product development tasks including testing, assembly & manufacturing
Engineering to Order (ETO) development support
Electrical issues troubleshooting
External and Internal Customers support
Establish/ trigger and follow up daily testing activities to deliver results/reports according to project scope, milestones dates
Ownership to resolve technical problems or prompt response to address issues reported by our internal and external customers, escalate as needed
Must work with cross-functional teams, understand multi-discipline needs (Engineering, Marketing, Assembly, Logistics, Purchasing, .etc.) and support them as needed
Adhere to project management procedures & processes including audits safety & security protocols
Technical risk assessment tools (FMEA, DRBFM) knowledge and experience
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
2+ years of Engineering experience (professional work and/or internship)
1+ years of experience with CAD (NX, Pro-E, AutoCAD, SolidWorks or other packages)
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred degree disciplines: Electrical and/or Mechanical
Ability to develop basic detail and assembly drawings for products and equipment
Ability to perform mechanical design calculations
Ability to perform basic design modifications
Proficient with hands on skills (cutting, forming, fabricating, brazing, welding)
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong organizational skills
Must have good written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
