Summary

Manages the therapy department's daily operations and all staff members to ensure safe and quality patient care is provided to all populations served. Facilitates program development, strategic growth and provides therapy services per area of licensure.

Education

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy, with a physical therapy degree as follows: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, if graduated prior 1/1/2016; Doctorate of Physical Therapy required, if graduated after 1/1/2016; International Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school and possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree preferred.

Licensure/Certification

Must hold or be eligible to receive a Physical Therapist license in the State where services will be provided. State licensure must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment. Must be certified in CPR or must become certified within the first 90 days of employment. Must maintain all certifications and licenses according to the expiration date. If assigned to drive a company vehicle, a valid driver's license is required. If assigned to drive a personal vehicle, proof of insurance is required in addition to a valid driver's license.

Experience

Must have a minimum of three years experience as a Physical Therapist. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Other Qualifications

Must be able to lift 50 pounds; 100 pounds shared lifting. Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
