Job Description:

The UF Online OneStop team is seeking a detail-oriented individual to manage the complex process of admitting students into our online programs. As an Admissions Officer II, you'll be responsible for processing applications, reviewing documents, and making admissions decisions. You'll work closely with the UF Online Recruitment & Outreach Center to ensure a smooth admissions process for our applicants. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to student success.

Responsibilities include:

Admissions Review

  • Process UF Online admissions and readmissions applications

  • Evaluate applicant performance and render admissions decisions

  • Thoroughly review and evaluate application materials

  • Maintain knowledge of program offerings and admission requirements

  • Review international credentials and communicate requirements to applicants

Escalated Inquiries

  • Support OneStop staff with escalated inquiries

  • Assume responsibility for challenging admissions-related situations

  • Provide support to department staff and student services personnel

  • Utilize professional judgment to identify academic issues and escalate concerns

Data Management

  • Manage application data in Slate and Campus Solutions

  • Ensure accuracy and reconciliation between systems

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation

Other Duties

  • Stay current on enrollment management functions, policies, and statutes

  • Assist in developing training materials and providing staff training

  • Occasional travel for recruitment or professional development purposes

  • Perform additional duties as directed by supervisor

    This position is located at the University of Florida's main campus in Gainesville, FL and may be eligible for a flexible, hybrid work arrangement in accordance with the University of Florida and Division of Enrollment Management's policies.

Expected Salary:

$45,000 annually

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing, and analyzing data

  • Ability to establish work priorities and coordinate the timely completion of work assignments

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with customer service and public relations

  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work and training assignments

  • Experience with Slate and/or PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or other CRM or student information system
