Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lease Accounting Subject Matter Expert (SME) with solid project management experience. This role will play an integral part in our ongoing efforts to set up and implement lease accounting systems through Oracle. The ideal candidate should have comprehensive knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting standards, be proficient in Oracle Cloud Lease Accounting system setup, and be open to remote work with occasional travel.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary expert and point of contact for ASC 842 lease accounting-related matters.

• Oversee the setup and implementation of Oracle Cloud Lease Accounting systems.

• Address complex lease accounting issues for both tangible and intangible assets.

• Ensure precision of lease accounting data and manage compliance activities.

• Provide comprehensive training and support on Oracle Cloud Lease Accounting systems.

• Update management regularly about the project's progress, and tackle emerging issues proactively.

• Carry out routine audit checks on lease accounting processes and protocols.

• Contribute effectively to creating, developing, and implementing lease accounting policies and procedures.

  Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or advanced degree is preferred.

• Proven experience as a Lease Accounting SME with comprehensive knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting standards.

• Proficiency in setting up and implementing Oracle Cloud Lease Accounting systems.

• A solid understanding of lease accounting for tangible and intangible assets.

• Ability to work remotely in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Robust leadership and team management abilities.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) credentials or equivalent project management experience is preferred.
