NOTE: This position requires US Citizenship.

Location: Washington, DC, Wilmington, DE, Hanover, MD, Iselin, NJ, Norfolk, VA, Richmond, VA, Roanoke, VA. Alternate locations will be considered. This position will work in a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The FedRAMP Principal works with the business and technology stakeholders on the development and delivery of end-to-end application technology products and services for enterprise-wide technology application platforms that are aligned with the organization's strategic objectives and initiatives.

How you will make an impact:

  • Works with stakeholders to establish the overall applications architecture vision and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged in a multi-product environment.

  • Recommends new technology solutions and products are delivered to stakeholders and align with enterprise strategic objectives.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and technology to define business requirements.

  • Oversee the development and delivery of technical and/or functional specifications.

  • Oversee the technical design reviews and testing of architectural technologies for application solutions and products to meet business requirements.

  • Leading and defining the overall application system technology and architecture, development.

  • Assesses the compatibility and integration of solutions and products.

  • Works with IT to lead IT Business Transformation application architecture strategy and vision.

  • Provides continuous consulting services and direction on projects.

  • Champions and is responsible for architectural standards, guidelines, principles, frameworks, and reference models.

  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to define architectures for new strategic initiatives as well.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field of study.

  • Minimum of 11 years experience; multi-dimensional platform experience, expert-level experience with business and technical applications.

  • Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • US Citizenship required.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Experience mentoring others and driving teams to achieve results, leading multiple or large complex technical projects, and providing troubleshooting support strongly preferred.

  • Multi-database and/or multi-language strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP®).

  • AWS GovCloud or other government cloud platform experience.

  • Experience in architecting/engineering DevOps-based cloud network or cloud network security CI/CD deployment pipelines.

  • Experience with Source Code Management and branching usage.

  • Experience in large environments using automation and configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, Lambda, and CFT.

  • Hands-on knowledge of one or more of the following: MySQL, PostgreSQL, RDS, Oracle, SQL Server.

  • Experience in defining, developing, and implementing automated processes for cloud databases (monitoring, alerting, backup, recovery, tagging, etc.).

  • Working closely with development teams, cloud security & compliance, and infrastructure teams, etc. to execute auto-scaling and right-sizing cloud database cost-saving initiatives.

  • Experience with monitoring/alerting tools such as AppDynamics, Datadog, Prometheus, Sysdig

  • GRC platforms (Archer, ServiceNow & Keylight/LockPath).
