"Ameriprise Financial has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Actuarial Associate to join our team! The individual will perform actuarial tasks with limited manager assistance or supervision. Serve a critical role owning the production of the Statutory, Tax, and Capital (STC) Corporate Actuarial team's quarterly and annual reporting deliverables. Develop subject matter expertise in NAIC Risk-Based Capital, C3P1, and Statutory & Tax financial reporting. May provide leadership for actuarial intern(s). Come apply and join the team!Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the readiness, execution, troubleshooting, controls, and documentation for the STC deliverables; with strong focus on process improvement / modernization.Prepare STC reports and summarize/communicate results to direct leaders and impacted business partners.Execute and/or support various assumptions unlocking, actuarial memorandums, rating agency surveys, annual statement deliverables, and other regulatory requirements for annual reporting.Provide support to RiverSource Life Corporate Risk modeling and reporting as required.Participates in ad-hoc projects within a well-defined scope and responsibility and performs actuarial modeling and analysis (e.g., Prophet implementation projects).Provide critical support to model owners for ongoing model governance requirements.Professional development to obtain and maintain Actuarial credentials.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent (4 years).3-5 years relevant experience.All Introductory ASA exams plus 1 Actuarial/Advanced ASA Exam or Requirement.Strong technical skill set (e.g., actuarial modeling software, VBA, excel & other MS office applications).Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to build strong relationships, work independently, and efficiently multi-task.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree with focus on Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or related disciplines.Experience with actuarial modeling software (e.g., FIS Prophet).About Our CompanyWe're a diversified financial services leader with more than $1 trillion in assets under management and administration.
