The Maintenance Mechanic assists with installing, repairing and monitoring Industrial processing and production machinery under the direction of Equipment Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Duties:

-Assists with a line change-over, packaging equipment set-up, start-up and troubleshooting ensuring efficient operation for production needs and goals.

• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on machines, equipment and plant facilities. This

includes problem identification, assessment of material requirements, requisition placement, and repair.

• Assist in inspecting machinery and equipment to detect irregularities or malfunctions and perform required repair.

• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

• Reviews and follows safety procedures for all equipment.

• Use a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment to perform duties.

• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

• Handles multiple projects and prioritizes work efficiently.

• Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Trade school or work-related experience

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Must be flexible in dealing with others in the organization and with work assignments/projects.

• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanics and other maintenance duties

• Team player and must work well with others

• Self-organized, self-motivated; ability to work independent of supervision

• Attendance is essential to job qualification. No unexcused absence is acceptable.
