Then join our Special Education Program Monitoring team. We are a dynamic group of educators and specialists at the forefront of helping Minnesota's school districts and charter schools remain compliant with laws and regulations while improving results for children and youth with disabilities.
As a Program Monitor, you'll work through data as a team to differentiate monitoring supports for each district in the state's cohort cycle. Be prepared to:
Have meaningful conversations with district leadership and staff
Assess patterns of results and visit district to review facilities
Provide directed technical assistance
Special Education program monitoring is required by federal regulation as one of the conditions of receiving federal funds and Minnesota has a long tradition of being among the best in the country.
Minimum Qualifications
5 years of professional experience with special education program planning at the school or district level
OR
A bachelor's or master's degree in education or a related field AND 4 years of experience with special education program planning at the school or district level
Experience must include:
Demonstrated leadership or administrative capacity at a school district level, that includes the development of improvements in special education program, staff development and/or compliance assurance;
Experience with government, education or special education programs
Preferred Qualifications
Special education leadership experience as the lead teacher, coordinator, or at the district level;
Experience working in a system of continuous improvement, implementation science and results-based decision making;
Experience with data collection and analytics;
Familiarity with adult-centered training and provision of technical assistance
