Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Per Diem Physician Assistant for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey

Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Per Diem Physician Assistant (PA) to join the Respiratory Center for Children at Morristown Medical Center. The Respiratory Center for Children has been in existence for over 30 years and sees a wide variety of infants, children, adolescents, in young adults with all forms of lung disease. The ideal candidate will be joining a growing and well-established group of 5 physicians, nurses and nurse practitioner, dietitian, social worker, and respiratory therapists. We have a vigorous diverse outpatient following, and we are responsible for inpatient consultation in the pediatric ICU, neonatal ICU, and the pediatric ward.

The PA will have the opportunity to work in a one-of-a-kind supportive practice environment that emphasizes quality patient care, research, and education. The primary role of the PA is to assess patient health by obtaining a thorough medical history and performing physical examination including ordering appropriate laboratory evaluation or procedures. The PA will also be expected to determine abnormal conditions by reviewing X-rays and laboratory studies and interpreting test results. This opportunity is open to new graduates and has the potential to become a full-time role.

  • Master’s Degree from accredited Physician Assistant Program

  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey

  • PALS will be required and can be obtained after onboarding

  • Must have excellent communication and computer skills

  • Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
