Job Description This job is considered "safety sensitive" as defined in RCW 49.44.240 and is subject to pre-employment drug screening that includes screening for the presence of marijuana and marijuana metabolites. Job Responsibilities Receive, issue and maintain all materials necessary in the operation of the storeroom. Maintain a complete working knowledge of all materials and their interrelated use and application. Process and maintain all materials management forms and records by manual or direct entry methods. Maintain a neat and orderly warehouse facility in compliance with all governmental regulations. Be responsible for the disposition of all materials through proper channels. Work with and direct other stores personnel. Perform stores functions and other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications Eligible bidders must meet Warehouser IV requirements, including a minimum of 2 years' stores experience, successful passage of 3 quarters of college level accounting or 2 of the following in lieu of a 3rd quarter of accounting: Business Machines, Business Math, Introduction to Computers, Basic Electricity, passage of the Certification Examination administered 3 years from the date of advancement to Warehouser IV, and possess a driver's license, DOT physical card, Material Handling Equipment Operator's Certificate, and current First Aid Card. After successful completion of the Certification Examination, the employee may be subject to future Recertification Examination procedures only upon negative job performance evaluation. If Storekeeper fails a Certification Exam section(s), the employee may choose to be reexamined on failed exam sections(s), such reexamination to take place after 30 but before 60 days of failure. To qualify for this option, employee must notify Materials System Administrator of such intent, and schedule a retesting date within the above stated timeframe that is mutually agreeable to both employee and Materials System Administrator at least 21 calendar days in advance of such date. If employee is unsuccessful on above retake of exam sections(s) failed, employee may exercise above option 2 more times, each after 30 but before 60 days of last failure. If employee is unsuccessful on all 3 retakes of exam section(s) failed, or chooses NOT to exercise any one of the above 3 retake options, employee is reclassified to Warehouser III. To advance to Warehouser IV, employee must wait at least 1 full year from the date of last failure and is then eligible to retake all sections of Certification Exam. If still unsuccessful, the above cycle of options is again offered. Employee may choose to repeat the above full cycle on a yearly basis until successful. All other Warehouser IV requirements must also be satisfied before advancement. Additional Information The duties and responsibilities are generally performed in a plant or support services environment. The position generally involves occasional sitting, frequent standing, occasional walking, moderate to heavy lifting, moderate to heavy carrying, frequent kneeling, twisting and balancing, occasional climbing and frequent reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping and operation of heavy equipment and machinery.
