The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for operating 2, 6, or 18 head embroidery machines to accurately embroider logos and appliqués on garments and headwear. The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for quality while ensuring on-time delivery. 

Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday; 7:00 am – 3:30 pm with overtime as needed

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Remove garment or headwear from box and secure on embroidery hoop.

• Place hooped headwear or garment on machine; position under needles.

• Adjust machine performance by adjusting settings, thread and bobbin tensions.

• Monitor machine operation to detect problems such as machine malfunctions, defective stitching, or breaks in thread.

• Remove hooped garment or headwear from machine.

• Maintain quality by inspecting finished product.

• Ensure operation of machine by completing preventive maintenance requirements.

• Additional duties as assigned.

  Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Manufacturing experience.

• Previous Embroidery Machine experience preferred

  Skills/Qualifications:

• Ability to follow verbal directions.

• Ability to read instructions in English.

• Ability to solve problems.

• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

• Ability to perform quality control.

  Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

• Repetitive use of hands, fingers and arms.

• Ability to demonstrate fine dexterity skills.

• Ability to move about the facility.

• Ability to climb, bend, reach, kneel and crouch.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.

  Vision Requirements:

• Close and distance vision.

• Vision to be able to thread a needle.

• Color vision.
