This position reports to the A&D Senior Director Portfolio and Program Management. The position will manage, coordinate and complete Acquisitions & Divestitures programs for Johnson and Johnson Technology. In this capacity, the Deal Program Manager will partner with Regional Program managers and Deal Leads to plan and execute A&D projects. The Deal Program Manager will build strategies and define scope, identify and handle multi-functional interdependencies, identify and coordinate the creation of vital program documentation to ensure alignment; develop overall program plan, lead all aspects of successful execution, and track program status and provide updates to the Deal Lead, Global PMO, senior leadership and partners. Supervise detailed plans for A&D activities across the JJT organization to ensure smooth transitions. The role will partner and collaborate with enterprise IT groups and other business functions (IT, HR, Finance, Facilities, etc.) to identify and address interdependencies between the teams, to ensure workstreams deliver per plan and proactively identify and engage JJT and business partners.

Throughout key programs, the incumbent will be responsible for analyzing, planning and handling the program budget and engaging resources.

The role requires active engagement with a variety of organizations within Johnson and Johnson including IT, Commercial, R&D, Supply Chain and Corporate groups to drive successful A&D programs.

Strong interdependent partnering and communication skills are required for the Deal Program Manager to collaborate with many partners outside and within J&J. This position will be expected to run multiple strategic A&D programs concurrently and share updates to senior leadership. The candidate will require a deep understanding of Acquisition and Divestitures, J&J structure, strong execution and delivery skills, and a bias toward problem solving and resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • For assigned A&D program, define the JJT transition strategy based on the deal type and interdependencies and impact on other workstreams. Collect and consolidate all program plans

  • Closely partner with and coach the assigned Project Managers to track and monitor the projects within the program, identify interdependencies, issues/risks and potential mitigations, resources, and lessons learned. Assist deal lead with priorities, issues and escalations

  • Provides access to program progress to JJT and business leadership; provides updates to partners as appropriate; be the single source of truth for program status

  • Assist in preparing, reviewing and presenting change requests, funding/resource needs or issues requiring decisions from global or regional governance.

  • Handle program financials including contingency funds for change requests

  • Lead change management & communications efforts related to the A&D activities with appropriate partners.

  • Assist in the creation and oversight of all Transition Service Agreements (TSAs) and ensure regional considerations are included

  • Collaborate with the Buyer or Seller to ensure there is alignment to successfully meet the TSA exit dates

  • Develop short-term/long-term IT strategies to improve A&D execution

  • Use and improve portions of JJT A&D playbook and other tools to deliver deals more holistically. Ensure playbook consistency and use of recommended standard methodologies.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5 years of A&D experience in leading large complex programs.

  • At least 3 years of IT experience with business acquisitions or divestitures and integration activities

  • Strong proficiency with project management practices, tools and methodologies including financial management

  • Strong data analytical skills with experience with Excel modeling, Smartsheet, PowerBI/Tableau reporting

  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Effective collaborator and problem solver.

  • Experience / knowledge of cultures across the globe with an Executive presence

  • Ability to work under stress and strict timelines. Ability to set-up and facilitate multi-functional meeting to resolve issues in a timely manner

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) including the ability to explain technology concepts to business partners

  • Demonstrable ability to assemble, prioritize and present large amount of data and publish them concisely, so they are understandable and impactful

  • Multi-function experience; understands business processes, end to end business processes impact on project dependencies.

Preferred:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) designation

  • 3-5 years of relevant A&D experience with either a management consulting firm, a top-tier tech company, a private equity firm, or an investment bank

Other:

  • 20% business travel expected

  • Work location onsite : New Jersey - New Brunswick

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $99,000- $170,200
