Job Description:

* The OBGYN-Hospitalist is responsible for the successful operations, and quality of Labor and Delivery service at NYPW Hospital and facilitates the integration and teamwork among multidisciplinary team for provision of optimal patient care.

* Works in conjunction with NYPW Hospital administrative and clinical staff to ensure the highest level of patient care.

* Works with OBGYN physicians and APPs to adopt and incorporate quality initiatives, evidence-based best practices, and clinical guidelines.

* Promotes patient safety and maximizes efficiency of Labor and Delivery services.

* Provides effective and responsive leadership for Labor & Delivery services, including clinical and decision support for clinical emergencies.

* Collaborates with Senior Leadership to implement best practice and strategic initiatives.

* Participates in multidisciplinary simulation training sessions.

* Ensures that the evidenced-based standards of inpatient care are being met.

* Reports to Division Chief for General OBGYN in Westchester, Director of Labor and Delivery at NYP Westchester, and Clinical Service Chief of OBGYN at NYP Westchester.

Clinical faculty position as OBGYN Hospitalist for services at NYP-Westchester Hospital General Ob/Gyn division is an essential, patient facing role. Qualified applicant will provide inpatient OBGYN care for patients from local community based OBGYN practices including NYPMG Westchester. Clinical scope includes but is not limited to: Labor & Delivery, obstetrical procedures, triage, postpartum, GYN Consultations, and emergency GYN procedures.

In your role at NYP-Westchester Hospital, it is expected that you will practice to the full scope of general obstetrics and gynecology inpatient care.

You will participate in providing OBGYN Hospitalist coverage including 6.2 (24 hour) in house calls or equivalent per month on average, at NYP-Westchester Hospital.

Minimum Degree:

MD or Equivalent

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

New York State Medical License or eligible

ABOG Board certified
