Morgan Stanley Client Onboarding and Reference Data Operations Director (AVP) in New York, New York

We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Client Onboarding and Reference Data Operations Director as part of the Change the bank team within CORS will work with Advisory, Technology, the Client Regulatory Services (CRS) Product Delivery and Operational teams across Onboarding, Refresh, Regulatory and Screening to ensure the consistent and effective deployment of transformational initiatives through project management and UAT oversight activities.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Specialist position at Director level within Change, Analytics & Strategy which is responsible for developing operating and technology strategies, managing and executing transformation initiatives, leading Agile fleet activities, driving innovation, developing analytics solutions and delivering business outcomes.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert within functional area, working with Team Manager to manage processes, risks and/or projects, proposing and implementing improvements/changes
  • Act as key problem solver for area or expertise, applying detailed knowledge to address unique or novel situations, recognize risks and draw out key issues
  • Work with product owners to groom product feature backlog items
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • At least 4 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
  • Ability to lead by example / works with drive and determination and adapt management style to suit individuals
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Experience in KYC (Know-your-Client) and AML processes, regulations and technology
  • Knowledge of testing life cycle and experience with UAT and regression testing

Role is hybrid and will require in office attendance 3 days/week.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 68000 and 125000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
