Criterion Systems Project Manager in North Las Vegas, Nevada

We are seeking a Project Manager to support a government customer's success in Las Vegas, NV!

The Project Manager is responsible for the timely execution, management and reporting of multiple complex engineering and architectural projects. These specifically designated high-priority projects directly support a Federal customer's cybersecurity capability implementation efforts.

Working through a combination of on-site at the Federal offices in Las Vegas, telework, and periodic visits to stakeholder locations across the Federal enterprise, this position will have regular direct interface with the Senior Federal OCIO staff as well as Criterion's Cybersecurity Program Manager. The preponderance of Cyber Security and Information Technology (IT) engineering and architectural work, project analysis and project coordination are performed by Criterion team members at the Federal location in Las Vegas NV in collaboration with contractors from other CIO support task orders as well as Management and Operations contracted engineers.

Multiple Criterion engineers and architects are matrix-edacross the projects; stakeholders with direct influence and - at times - contributory effort are located throughout the Federal enterprise. The position requires exceptional communications and tactful facilitation skills and works in very close collaboration with Cybersecurity Architects and Cyber Security / IT Management. This position will execute the full range of Project Manager duties across all PM processes (Project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, controlling, and closing).

Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities

Plan, execute, and close multiple projects concurrently while meeting or exceeding customer cybersecurity technology objectives.

Create clear and attainable project objectives, build and document project requirements, and manage constraints of cost, time, scope, and quality.

Develop the overall project plan and manage project execution.

Manage the project stakeholders, project team, project risk, project schedule, project budget, and project conflicts.

Ensure team members know and execute their respective roles and the roles of the other team members.

Ensure production schedules are met and system resources are used effectively.

Work with vendorsto establish a project schedule and time-linesassociated with project tasking.

Build, maintain, and actively manage the risk management plan.

Coordinate resolution of production-related problems with vender, engineers, or architects stake holders.

Collaborate with Cyber Task Business Manager and Program Manager to understand and develop vendor support agreements.

Ensures proper relationships and communications are established and maintained between customers, teaming partners, myriad stakeholders, and vendors to facilitate the delivery of prescribed services.

Prepare and maintain project documents; maintain project work schedule, WBS, risk register, cost tracking, etc.

Manage and update project artifacts, tasks, subtasks, and resource requirements (planned and actual) in JIRA.

Plan and provide Jira project management standard operating procedures to project management team and project resources.

Prepare, lead, drive and deliver weekly project status report.

Brief OCIO executive leadership on all projects, to include status, issues, dependencies, and risks.

Collaborate closely with the Senior Cybersecurity Architect and architecture team to meet Architecture time-linesand objectives.

Perform project performance analysis and develop corrective action plan, as required.

Implement and provide oversight for corrective action plans to re-establish projects on track to ensure project success.

Work with project engineers and architects to establish all project artifact baselines and as-built drawings.

Additional duties regarding Criterion business growth, proposal, and capture activities.

Requi ed Experience, Education, Skills and Technologies

US Citizenship (no dual citizenship)

Applicants who have a current DOE Q or DOD TS clearance are preferred. Applicants who do not have a current clearance have tobe able to pass the appropriate background investigations to attain one.

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or ability to obtain it within specified amount of time

Bachelor's degree in related field. Four years of relevant work experience can substitute for a bachelor's degree.

Seven (7) years of strong Project Management experience directly managing Information Technology (IT) and Cyber Security projects of increasing responsibility, scope, scale, and complexity.

Excellent written, analysis and communications skills - communicate clearly and concisely with diverse audiences and comfortable giving and receiving feedback.

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with local and remote staff, customers, and external vendors.

Have the ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deliverables - assess priorities and operate in a flexible manner to meet the dynamic needs of the team.

Strong experience with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong customer service orientation.

Attention to detail and ability to learn new concepts quickly.

Preferred Experience, Education, Skills and Technologies

Experience with JIRA, MS Project.

Excellent experience in Project Methodologies, PMBOK, Agile, SCRUM, KANBAN, SDLC / Waterfall.

Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, down and across multiple matrixed/stakeholder groups.

Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
