Job Title: BIM Designer

Job Description

We're seeking a BIM Designer to execute and lead Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) tasks in our fabrication shop. This role includes 3D Modeling, CAD work, detailing, and a variety of other computer-based fabrication tasks. The successful candidate will be active in process development, improving shop efficiency and testing new VDC software, hardware, and technology.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Work Environment

We are looking for a dedicated individual to support our current Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) processes and develop new ones for our fabrication shop. Our shop manufactures assemblies for building construction projects, including metal stud panel systems and volumetric pre-fabrications. The successful candidate will work with our project team to develop and complete quality control checks on models, ensure all models are clean and usable, deploy manufacturing technologies, manage changes and updates to models, develop supplemental documents for use by superintendents & shop crews, guide review meetings of models and fabrication details, and test new software programs and make recommendations on use.
