Element Materials Technology Corporate Development Manager in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

Overview

As the Corporate Development Manager, you will be member of the global corporate development team and will focus primarily on the North America region and will work in a small team on specific projects and supporting senior team members with the view that you will be able to work independently as required. The Corporate Development Manager will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams and run transaction projects with colleagues in the business and support functions. This is a great opportunity to make high-impact and value-add contributions to the group in its growth journey.

Up to 50% travel will be required with this role.

Responsibilities

Working closely with Senior team members/management and assisting with the analysis and execution of M&A transactions and strategic projects:

  • Supporting specific strategy projects from time to time

  • Screening and evaluation of M&A opportunities

  • Support the corporate development team and business leaders in reviewing and developing the M&A pipeline

  • Preparation of investment proposals and company and market analysis

  • End-to-end management of transaction process, including financial modelling, commercial analysis and negotiation, due diligence management, and deal execution

  • Assisting in project management, including post-deal business integration

  • Support post-deal integration planning, set-up and mobilization

  • Supporting the Corporate Development team in the implementation of best practice across the Group

  • Preparing and updating Investment Cases and formulating recommendations for the Investment Committee

Not essential but will be considered favorably

  • Preparing operating and valuation models for potential acquisitions, investments and disposals including pro-forma P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements

Skills / Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

4+ years’ experience at Analyst / Associate level, developing and presenting data analytics in the following areas:

  • Investment banking

  • Transaction Services

  • Lead Advisory

  • Private Equity

  • In-house Corporate Development

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Enthusiastic self-starter who is ambitious and wants to learn

  • Strong communication, persuasion, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to priorities, multi-task, and work effectively with minimal supervision

  • M&A process experience

  • Excellent analytical skills – ability to understand data and see the “bigger picture”

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Strong commercial acumen

  • Relevant financial modelling (not essential but considered favorably)

  • Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of the job

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and escalate key risks to the appropriate senior management

  • Adaptability and flexibility, able to respond quickly to changing demands, processes and updated information

  • Achievement orientation – has the drive to succeed, not just for self, but for team and company
