U-Haul Social Media Summer Intern in Phoenix, Arizona

U-Haul International is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to join our dynamic Social Media Marketing team for the summer. This internship offers hands-on experience in executing social media strategies, content creation, and community engagement across various platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing social media content calendars aligned with marketing objectives.

  • Create engaging multimedia content (including graphics, videos, and written posts) for U-Haul's social media channels.

  • Monitor and respond to user comments, messages, and inquiries on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.

  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences to inform content strategy.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate campaigns and promotions across social media channels.

  • Analyze social media metrics and provide insights to optimize content performance and engagement.

  • Stay updated on emerging social media trends and best practices to suggest innovative ideas for U-Haul's social media presence.

  • Assist in special projects and initiatives as needed to support the Social Media Marketing team.

Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Proficiency in using social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

  • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Enthusiasm for learning and contributing creative ideas to enhance U-Haul's social media presence.

Since 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers and their households. Like many other successful ventures, the concept for U-Haul was generated out of need. After World War II, there existed the widespread need for do-it-yourself moving equipment that would be available on a one-way, nationwide basis. U-Haul co-founders L.S. "Sam" Shoen and his wife, Anna Mary Carty Shoen, recognized that need and acted upon it. Their visionary approach spread the cost of ownership among many users, facilitating the mobility of the populations of the U.S. and Canada. The covered wagon of the pioneers morphed into orange U-Haul trailers. In the process, an industry was born.
