This role is a part of Test & Flight Operations team, providing centralized support to Business Units with the focus on design, build and maintenance of the ground systems, test and launch facilities across multiple locations. As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will work to on board new projects into Blue Origin's Test and Flight Operation's New Glenn launch capability. TFO offers a diverse range of test and mission operation capabilities that enable and support the effective implementation of technical and programmatic mission assurance activities on launch and mission systems, ground equipment and facilities, and integrated systems. TFO staff support all program phases beginning with preliminary assistance with concepts of operation, integration planning and system test planning, design and development activities followed by build, integration, verification, and transition to operations events. We are the source of expertise in systems integration - including technology insertion, and system engineering aspects applied to developing operationally realistic tests / operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who will work with various elements of the New Glenn program to understand their needs and architect solutions that meet these needs with new and existing infrastructure. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Understand customer requirements and preferred solutions in order to represent the customer for architectural trades. Performing systems integration tasks relating to mission and system threads, interface definition, and technology insertion Oversee concept development for solutions that integrate emergent upgrades/ programs into existing or new infrastructure. Work hand in hand with emerging programs to develop con-ops for New Glenn launch processing, and launch and mission operations. Provide systems engineering and integration expertise to New Glenn elements seeking launch capability by defining and developing mission, organizational, physical, functional, signal, hardware/software, and operational interfaces. Provide test and integration assistance with acquisition support to new programs, and updates to existing programs. Provide assistance with the requirements for engineering models, simulations, test beds, and special test equipment for all organizations involved with system testing. Provide direct support to programs and offer recommendation and assessments of Test and Evaluation Plans to decrease coordination timelines and mitigate risks of resource conflicts. Establish verifiable requirements for systems and ensure the appropriate use of test as a verification and validation technique for programs during the system development. Ensure appropriate verification and validation of both interface and transition requirements are planned and executed. Ensure the systems are designed with human considerations for all processes. Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of experience developing complex, large scale operational systems in aerospace / defense 5+ years of experience navigating a highly regulated environment (automotive, medical devices, aerospace, etc.) Experience across development lifecycle including transition to operations. Proven ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with staff at all levels of the organization and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, customers, and suppliers.
