Role Summary:

As Permit Coordinator, you hold a critical role and will assist in many facets of the Licensing Department at Rapid Response Monitoring.

In this research position, you will be the administrative liaison between Rapid Response Monitoring and jurisdictions across all of North America, ensuring our organization and our clients are current and compliant with jurisdictional policies and regulations.

Success in this position will be achieved through a high attention to detail, critical thinking, a sense of urgency, and ability to self-motivate. Strong organizational skills are also a must as you will be accountable for the maintenance of our proprietary permit database, ensuring data is accurate and current at all times. Contributing to this team will make a great impact and help serve Rapid Response Monitoring's mission of protecting life and property.

Location:

This position is 100% in-office and reports to our facility on site in Syracuse, NY.

Salary Range:

$23.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Research and interpret alarm ordinances and maintain accurate data within the Company permit database for the United States and Canada.

  • Communicate with jurisdictional authorities to obtain clarification on alarm ordinance and permit requirement via phone and email.

  • Achieve weekly research quotas.

  • Procure GIS map data and upload to JOSM and Open Street Maps, ensuring all data points are entered and tagged correctly.

  • Effectively communicate to customers and their corresponding internal Dealer Support Representatives all permit-related changes affecting their accounts.

  • Accurately document customer permit information as required.

  • Send recurring customer lists to jurisdictions as required by law.

  • Maintain and organize department, local and state files, as well as government ordinances and correspondence.

  • Ensure customer compliance within jurisdictions by assisting with license checks for prospective customers when needed.

  • Ability to maintain top-level confidentiality.

  • Perform as-needed, research of customer accounts and information in our proprietary system.

  • Assist with incoming calls to our internal Sales line by taking detailed messages, transferring calls to requested parties or completing basic account change requests.

  • Perform other related duties pertinent to the role including but not limited to representing the Company at meetings, acting as staff support for special projects and events, etc.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma with a minimum of two (2) year Associates degree

  • Approximately 2+ years- experience in an administrative or professional role

  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel)

  • Ability to obtain security licenses in all required States

  • Ability to work schedule as assigned, including overtime and/or weekends if required

Preferred qualifications

  • Previous experience working within regulatory and compliance assurance in related field.

  • Exceptional analytical, investigative, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Superior level of attention to detail

COVID-19 Requirements

  • Must be fully vaccinated: 2 doses of Pfizer/Moderna or 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson, 2 weeks prior or more

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in an office environment. Employee may be subject to some lifting up to 10lbs.
