Responsibilities

Our Hospital Medicine team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is looking for our next Associate Medical Director. We have an opportunity for a collaborative physician leader who is interested in driving improvements in quality and patient experience through coaching and development of hospital medicine teams.

You will serve as an Associate Medical Director for our 180 FTE employed hospital medicine group which serves 7 hospitals in the Puget Sound region and provides faculty for two Internal Medicine residency programs. With a focus on Quality and Patient Experience, you will partner with hospital medicine site leaders to design and drive improvements in length of stay, transitions of care, patient experience and quality outcomes.

You will benefit from being part of a robust market leadership team and will form relationships with quality and patient experience experts throughout CommonSpirit Health's national organization. As you spend 50% of your time in leadership and 50% of your time on clinical service, you will make a difference for your colleagues and for patients.

As this role focuses on coaching hospitalists and hospital medicine leaders for success, the ideal candidate will have prior experience leading a hospital medicine team and will be familiar with quality improvement methodology such as Lean or Six Sigma.
