Job Title: **Junior Data Scientist

Must have the following to apply:

• Bachelors degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or finance and/or at least 2 years of related experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of the data science project workflow
• Statistical concepts for data analysis and modeling
• Understanding of predictive modeling, machine learning, clustering and classification techniques, and algorithms
• Demonstrated knowledge of Python programming in a Jupyter Notebook environment to build/implement Machine Learning models
• Technical Skills:
  • SQL - intermediate to advanced (joins, subqueries, nested formulas, window functions, etc.)
  • Python programming (for data analytics, machine learning, statistical analysis, data visualization)
  • Microsoft Excel Power User (formulas, Power Pivot, Power Query)
• Communication Skills:
  • Ability to interpret a business problem and build a solution
  • Ability to document, package, and communicate the data science workflow utilized in the construction of project solutions
  • Ability to communicate complex statistical or data concepts to a non-technical Management audience

**Job Description: The company is seeking a Junior Data Scientist for its Tampa office.

The candidate will be a self-starter with communication skills and an interest in solving real business problems utilizing data science techniques to deliver value across the Firm.

The Junior Data Scientist will collaborate with Finance and Executive Management teams in order to formulate analytic and machine learning solutions to provide crucial and actionable insights to business problems. This position will support the implementation of analytics initiatives at the Firm.

Duties and Responsibility:**

• Use data modeling and analytical approaches to develop machine learning models to solve business problems and enhance outcomes
• Apply data science techniques including exploratory data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling across multiple functional areas of the organization to drive improved decision-making
• Serve as a technical resource to Finance and Executive Management teams to drive the growth of analytics initiatives
• Create and track accuracy and performance metrics (both technical and business metrics) of models and solutions
• Create and maintain technical documentation, methodologies, and workflow processes of modeling solutions
