If you have the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close, you will be preferred for this position. If you want to participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, this role might be right for you. This is a position you will thrive in, if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

Responsibilities

• In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

• Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

• Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process

• Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

• Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request

• Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries

• Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

• Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation

• Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on

• Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner

• Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision

Requirements - Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Great attention to detail

• Microsoft Excel experience desired

• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Knowledgeable of ERP systems

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

• Recent and relevant accounting experience
