Job Summary:

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our team at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, located along the beautiful Treasure Coast of Florida. There is a new Allopathic Emergency Medicine Residency Program starting in 2025!!

ED Profile:

  • Level II Trauma Center

  • 61,000 annual patient visits in Main ED and 16,000 in Peds ED

  • 42-bed ED including 5 fast track plus 5 monitored beds

  • 3 trauma bays, including 1 pediatric

  • 2.0 pph

  • 70 hours total of physician coverage (main ED and Peds ED incl)

  • 60 hours of APP coverage

  • 26% Admit rate

  • EMR is Meditech, Pdoc and dragon dictation

  • Comprehensive Stroke facility with bi-plane

  • Interventional cardiac cath facility

  • code ice facility with theraputic hypothermia capability

  • Several dedicated ED glide scopes and US machines

  • 24 hour inhouse Hospitalist and Intensivists

  • No floor code or consult responsibilities

  • IC-1099 contractor status (malpractice with tail covered)

  • Highest paid rates in South FL

  • Very generous Bonus Package!!!

Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in­ American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM). Must also have Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) ­and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).­ Must have completed an EM Residency and Board Certified within 5 years.
