ManpowerGroup Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer - 3rd shift in Whitakers, North Carolina

Our client, a leading manufacturer of power distribution systems, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer within the Manufacturing Department to join their team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and executing the preventative, predictive, and condition-based maintenance of production equipment.

Location: Whitakers, NC

What’s the Job?

  • Works with teams in the maintenance organization and assists line employees in basic maintenance procedures.

  • Assists Facilities, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering in problem identification, troubleshooting, and equipment issue resolution and repair.

  • Assists with spare parts and indirect materials inventory by using a computerized maintenance management system.

  • Assists with equipment engineering design evaluations.

  • Builds preventative maintenance processes to ensure equipment is available and capable.

What’s Needed?

  • Preventative and Predictive Maintenance - Interprets machine and tool maintenance records and data to develop and execute preventative and predictive management strategies to drive continuous improvement within the manufacturing process.

  • Controls Safety - Recognizes controls related hazards in a manufacturing environment (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic) to incorporate safe practices and procedures as part of the daily work plan to reduce injuries and create a safe machine environment.

  • Equipment/Capital Procurement - Selects manufacturing equipment which meets the client's manufacturing specifications and meets the project or program needs.

  • Project Management - Establishes and maintains the balance of scope, schedule and resources for a temporary effort (a "project").

  • Manufacturing Prognostics - Applies prognostics techniques by collecting real time equipment conditions and then use advanced analytics and artificial intelligence technologies to project future failures to eliminate unplanned equipment and systems down time.
