One of our top clients in the defense space is seeking an experienced and motivated Cloud Solutions Architect who will focus on Public Cloud infrastructure solutions and implementations.

* The Cloud Solutions Architect plays a key role to build highly resilient and innovative cloud-based hosting solutions that comply with best practice DevSecOps and with an automation first mindset. Collaborate with business and technology colleagues to identify and demonstrate the value and benefits of cloud solutions and automation. This Architect must have excellent communication skills verbal & written in English. To be able to communicate with IT teams and departments, end users and customers for best practices. This project is net new, and this Architect will be driving the team to best solutions / implementations while working closely with the SAP team.

Skills and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering

* 5+ years experience designing, building, documenting, and maintaining solutions in knowledge of Cloud technologies in Microsoft Azure and AWS

* Certifications; AWS, Azure or CNCF/Kubernetes

* Experience with Enterprise SAP deployments

* Strong background in Linux/UNIX administration (e.g. RedHat/CentOS 7/Alpine Linux)

* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools like Github, Terraform, Jenkins and Ansible

* Not hands on coding, but ability to talk / walk through automation

* Excellent knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Azure DevOps / GitLab

* Familiar with containers (AKS, EKS, Kubernetes, Docker etc.)

* Ability to walk through authentication and access control, image management, patching, STIG hardening & group policy, clustering, IIS/Apache, and other core services

* Security and Compliance Standards (to lead a team through best practices: such as CIS Benchmarks, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, FedRAMP, ISO/IEC 27001, SOX, PCI DSS)
