Jumpstart your career in Winemaking!

You will be joining the Laboratory Team at Chandon, supporting the creation and development of excellent sparkling and still wine products.

Your impact will be analyzing our wines at various stages of development. You will be a champion of the laboratory quality and precision standards to ensure the most consistent process. You will ensure all laboratory equipment is working properly. The laboratory is your domain!

You are someone who has experience in a laboratory setting. You may be familiar or interested in Méthode Champenoise. You are knowledgeable about the production process of both still and sparkling wine - from grape through bottling. You have both exceptional organizational and communication skills while being comfortable with using a computer and various programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Innovint).

You will love working out of our Winemaking offices in Yountville, CA. Situated in the beautiful natural landscape of the Napa Valley, it will make coming to work a treat. Public transportation is limited so you’ll need a car, or bike.

Requirements

Education:

•B.S. in Enology, Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field preferred.

•Or practical/professional experience in a food or beverage processing laboratory may be acceptable.

•Lab internship at an accredited university, and/or 4 years of experience working in a laboratory (preferred).

Languages:

•English

Professional experience & know how:

•Knowledge of lab analysis and methodology.

•Familiar with, or interested in, learning Méthode Champenoise.

•Knowledge of the production of still and sparkling wine from crush to finished product.

•Good organizational and communication skills.

•Computer skills, including, word-processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and Innovint

Technical skills:

•Knowledge of lab analysis and methodology
